35- black angus (7 baldys) 1st calf heifer pairs out of 160 heifers total and a 600 cow herd.These are a real fancy set of calving ease heifers with calves at side out of sons of Sooline Motive 9016 and Sitz Peak Legacy 9613. We breed for disposition, calving ease, moderate frame,length, depth, good feet and udders. These 1 iron heifers were born and raised here at the ranch. As calves these heifers spent the summer on our allotment in the Bighorn Mountains ( elevation 7000’to 9000’). 34 of them calved in 18 days starting 3/9 and 2 of the baldys calved early (2/15,2/18).

Heifersin the fall received Ivomec pouron(the real stuff, not generic), Virashield 6+VL5HD, Scourboss 9 with a booster of Scourboss 4. Calves at birth received Alpha CD, bull calves banded, weighed, navels treated and tag with dams number. No calves have received antibiotics since calving. They are on a ground hay, Mix30 ration.All are in excellent condition, heifers BCS average is a 6. We assisted a few heifers at calving, with a few bigger calves. We think we have one bull throwing bigger calves. We keep calving records on all our cattle and will be available if there are any questions.
