Maintain and monitor bunk reading and consumption measurements as assigned by the operations manager. Maintain and monitor batching measurements as assigned by the operations manager. Complete weekly or more if needed reporting on commodity needs and usages with the operations manager. Complete monthly commodity inventories Insure that all feeding and batching operations are in compliance with BQSA standards. Assist as well as supervise hourly employees in : -Batch consistency -Uniform feed distribution -Feeding Accuracy -Maintenance of feeding equipment according to the assigned maintenance schedule. Yard/Maintenance: Maintenance, repairs and operations of all wells and water facilities. Maintenance of yard equipment according to the assigned maintenance schedule. Pen cleaning Post, cable and water trough repair Maintain all alleys and roads Maintenance and repair of scales Maintenance and repair of cattle handling facilities including working and loading chutes and alleys Repair and maintenance of all buildings on the property Insure that all yard operations are in compliance with BQSA standards. Dead cattle removal and recording Cattle Department: Adhere to the protocol set up by the Veterinarian; Movement of cattle to include initial receiving, processing, hospital moves and shipping Health evaluation and administration of preventative and curative measures for cattle Cattle processing for both receiving and non-receiving processing Maintain accurate hospital inventories and head counts Insure excellent housekeeping is in place at all cattle department facilities Provide support to the operations manager at Double D Feedyard #1 the above processes General: Provide back up and support to the Operations Manager in a supervisory role and in an administrative role as needed.
