Description:
We are looking for an experienced ranch crew leader / foreman. This position would be responsible for leading employees in the day to day ranch division operations of a large commercial cow calf ranch and grain farm in north-central Montana. We take care of our cattle and have a passion for producing a high quality beef product for our end consumer. Our long-term goal is to hire an individual or couple capable of promotion to Herd/Ranch manager. This job is not just a riding and roping job. Duties will include overseeing and carrying out herd health (vaccination and doctoring), planning and maintaining winter feeding rations and rotational grazing plans, calving, haying, fencing, AI breeding, developing breeding heifers and bulls, culling and cow record keeping and all other cattle work from calving to weaning. Candidates must have the following abilities: attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, managing employees, have extensive knowledge of ranching, be highly motivated and take pride in operating a ranch at the highest level. We want to make an investment in someone that will become a long term part of our ranch. The position includes a house and utilities, competitive salary, grocery, health insurance and retirement allowance and paid vacation.
