A working ranch hand/manager is needed that can perform all types of ranch duties. Caring for deer is the number 1 priority but general duties are required as well. Some but not all of the duties would be: fence maintenance and or clearing as required. Not much clearing remains. Applying herbicides to fence via tractor with spray rig. Mowing the senderos and roads on the ranch. Maintaining the water system on the ranch. Yard maintenance. The ranch has highway frontage and we keep the road debris picked up. Keeping brush cut back from the roads. Some guiding of hunters dependent on your skill. Cleaning and quartering of game. Assisting with working of breed deer. Includes, feeding, medicating, A.I’ing, transporting during tranquilization and daily monitoring of the penned deer. Monitoring includes water trough cleaning, feeding protein and alfalfa and checking them for signs of sickness. Candidate absolutely must be a self starting person. They must recognize what needs to be done and do it as I am not a live on the ranch owner. I expect to come to the ranch and what should have been done was. Mechanical ability is required as there is equipment that must be used and properly maintained. Housing is furnished along with the utility bills and furniture. House has 1 main room with kitchen, seperate bedroom and separate bath. It has A/C. Single or a couple is acceptable. No drugs or excessive drinking. References are required. The salary is somewhat negotiable depending on experience. Extra income can be earned from cleaning of clients game, tips, cooking for clients, during hunting sseason, and cleaning of the main house.
