Includes keeping accurate records of maintenance on equipment. Occasionally, trailer horses to designated show grounds. Bonuses based on performance. Job includes room(1bedroom cabin)and utilities. Please email your work references and their phone numbers to fsoord@yahoo.com Job Description: * Rotate cattle between pastures * Cut & bale hay • Check and fill feeders • Maintain houses, yard, barn & compound area • Tractor, mower, weed eater, mule work • Mowing • Fence maintenance • Check waterlines and trough’s and repair as needed • Pond maintenance includes treating chemically every 10-14 days • Brush trimming and clearing Care Taker Responsibilities: • House cleaning/change air filters and date • Wash towels, sheets, etc. • Keeping refrigerators stocked with water Maintenance Perform light maintenance of the buildings (plumbing, lighting, electrical, any electronics) and grounds, including fencing and decks (water proof once every two years), water treatment for furniture, install gates, sprinklers, water lines (including drawing periodic water samples as directed for testing), and lighting (replace bulbs and switches as required). Add water weekly to pool and clean 4 strainers daily. Keep Hotwire fencing working.Wash the 4-wheeler, mule after chemical use. Visit and transport guest and offer assistance as needed. Deliver and pick-up horses- some late evenings. Coordinate and supervise all sub contractors that are required to provide repair or other services to the ranch. Manage deliveries and locations. Cattle Take care of all the cattle. Move hay bales to the cattle fields as needed. Round up and transport the calves to sale barn once or twice per year as required. Horses Take care of the horses this includes bathing, feeding and caring for when sick. Daily checks for injuries. Chickens Maintain the chicken coop and chickens. This includes feeding and watering the chickens regularly, cleaning out the coop and putting in new straw etc. Horse Barn and Gas/Diesel Tanks Keep the horse barn clean and well organized. Sweep alleyways where hay and horses are located. Have the Co-op refill the gas/diesel tanks as needed. Ponds, Fields & pastures Maintain ponds and aerator. Put fire ant killer on any red anthills you periodically come across in the lawns and the open fields. Water lawn areas and oak trees. Mow only weed areas in hay field and pastures. Roads and pastures Keep the roads and trails smooth by filling in or grading any washed out areas. Keep all pastures limbs trimmed horse eye level and remove all fallen limbs.
