Ranch Job: Wanted Experienced Ranch Hand- Northern Arizona- Cow/calf Operation. *Mid Summer opening for fulltime experienced cowboy/ranch hand who is honest, hardworking, self motivated and can respect his elders. Willing to learn our system and prepared for long hours when needed.

We are a family owned operation of 250 head and have been in the business of ranching for over 100 years. The Chevelon Butte ranch is located in the cedar country just 30 miles south of Winslow Arizona. We are hoping to find someone who shares the love of the industry and would like to make a career here. Responsibilities include: Summer, branding, moving cattle to forest allotment, pumping waters, maintaining water lines and troughs, fence work and some infrastructure repairs when needed. Horses are used for ranch work, along with a side by side for running waterlines and feeding. Calf table used for branding. Fall Works: Gather the herd, sort and ship calves. Cull old cows and bulls. Return cattle to winter pastures with supervision, and fencing when needed. Winter: Feed hay and supplement, pump water, break ice and fencing when needed. Spring: Check springing heifers and ride and supervise the herd and fencing. Heavy equipment and welder a plus!

Low birth weight bulls are used so pulling calves doesn’t occur much. Housing available more suitable for single or married couple, which includes utilities and beef. Salary: DOE. If interested please send resume and questions to ktmacohaco@gmail.com and tdensmore60@gmail.com
