We’ve owned and raised speedy his entire life. His Sire is of proven cow horse cutting blood and his dam is from a proven broodmare band that we’ve raised several nice horses out of. We’ve started and used a half dozen of his half brothers and sisters and they have all been gentle demeanor and very easy to train. Speedy was started with a professional cutting trainer for 60 days before spending 1 full year doing on the job training in the Texas Panhandle. He has seen tons of outside miles. He is highly experienced in roping outside, doctoring wheat pasture yearlings, sorting and dragging calves. He has an immense amount of natural cow ability. He can correctly rate and track a yearling to put you in the correct spot. I believe he would do well in SHOT shows, ranch horse shows, team roping, or cow horse events if someone wanted to take him as a show horse prospect. Speedy has excellent ground manners. He will wash, bathe,load and stand for farrier with no problems. Speedy has tons of stamina and athletic ability. He has been ridden by inexperienced riders and will drop his head and travel correctly with no problem. He is being ridden semi regular however we have laid off him with no problems. He stays sound and does good with shoes or without. He has been used to pony around colts and has weathered many storms with no problem whatsoever. Speedy has a very good mind and has stayed cool,calm and collected in any situation we’ve put him in. He’s been turned out with other horses and does fine by himself or with others. Speedy is a lot of fun to ride and is a vital part of our ranching operation as a using horse. He moves correctly and is a very good looking horse. He has been used trail riding and crosses water no problem. He has been around kids, dogs, traffic, rattling cow trailers, wild pigs, gunfire and a over-all cowboy environment with no qualms. Speedy has never been watchy or spooky on the ground and behaves like a old gentleman. Signed Transfer and AQHA papers in hand.
