Description:
We are looking for someone to join our crew and complete all aspects of ranch work. We primarily use horses for cattle handling and doctoring. We do have a heated Gator and four wheelers to use as necessary.

This persons primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Riding health on approximately 3500 calves at the HQ Ranch at Laramie from approximately November through May.

• Riding health on approximately 4000 yearlings on grass from May through September on a half dozen ranches around Laramie.

• Feeding cattle during the wintertime using a TMR wagon / payloader.

• Extensive cattle processing as new cattle arrive and as cattle leave for grass.

• Annual fence repair, some fence building and replacement.

• Shipping yearlings off grass in the fall.

• Maintaining ranch infrastructure including buildings, roads, stock water systems and corrals.

• Light mechanical, including oil changes and P.M. on trucks, tractors, trailers, etc.

• Assisting with water development projects such as springs, wells, pipelines and stock tanks.

• Some minor farming such as swathing and harrowing (Haying is done by a sperate crew.)

• Operation of heavy equipment such as back hoe, skid steer, dozer, road grader, dump truck and excavator.

One unique thing about our operation is that you will get the opportunity to work on our other ranches around South East, WY as we share help during busy seasons. This will include branding, preg checking, preconditioning, shipping and much more. So, the opportunity to see new county and work with other crews is plentiful. The best part is you will be home every night!

The house is located about 8 miles form the Ranch HQ and about 6 miles from Laramie so the opportunity for a spouse to work in town is very good. Laramie is big enough to offer everything you need with multiple grocery stores, churches and endless recreation and hunting opportunities for your time off.

Graduating local Ag College students are encouraged to apply IF they could begin working a few days a week for the rest of the spring semester.
