He was raised in Idaho, ranch roped and worked cattle, worked feedlots, roped and pulled bulls, then over into a cowhorse/ranch versatility breeding operation in Oregon where we have been blessed with several successive generations of good heavy boned, pretty and smart foals from him. He throws 90% color (roans, blue/red/buckskin roan, lots of greys and in 2022 a grey dun - grulla filly!). His colts are heavy built using horses with brains, and they are extremely gentle and easy to start. He stalls or turns out and is a gentleman to hand breed, collects easy to the phantom, and has also pasture bred. He is easy on the mares and good with foals in a pasture. Runs with geldings in turnout. He carries the bloods of several greats - ALL ON HIS PAPERS - Peptoboonsmal, Hesa Commander, Shining Spark and Lad Leo. May discount sale price to the right party with retained breeding rights or 3 horse trailer. He is 5 panel clean. He has not yet been color tested but suspect he may also carry the roan gene. In 2022, our red dun mare foaled out a beautiful grullo filly by this stallion, and is bred back for a full sibling in April of 2023! In my opinion, he would be best suited to return to a ranch to produce good sized working stock as a range/ranch stallion. Selling because we elected to keep his daughter, and price has been significantly reduced because I now work out of state and I have two other stallions to campaign in 2023. All reasonable offers considered.
