Description:
Not a traditional ranch job, not a riding position.

We currently have 3 horses in residence but can be as low as 2 and up to 6.

This is a 30 acre horse facility with indoor and outdoor arena, pasture space, and obstacle course. Although the business renting the facility is hunter/jumper owner is western based and welcomes more western riders. Although there are a large number of horses on the property you are only responsible for owners horses (2-6). The current business on the property is responsible for all arena maintenance, their horses, large barn upkeep, the fencing of the area they are renting, client services, etc. So you get the experience of a large facility without all the upkeep. This is not a riding job. Having said that riding is possible.

We are offering a fully furnished, 980sq ft, newly built bunk house attached to the barn and shop area so your daily commute is easy, a ranch truck for running ranch errands is available and gas for ranch truck is covered, space for a horse or two, internet, cable with all the channels, electric, water, washer and dryer for use in the tack room, negotiable salary dependent upon experience and skill set and performance as well as how many horses you bring with you. We also offer starting paid days off away from the farm at 10 weekdays and 4 weekend paid days off per year with notice, unless you have your own horses that will be on property when you plan to be away. We welcome a well behaved dog or two but expect them to have manners around horses and to be kept in the yard or on leash at all times when clients are on property. If you let your dogs roam please be aware that you will be responsible for picking up all dog waste in, around and near public areas.

We are really pretty laid back and aren’t sticklers on when the work gets

done, as long as it gets done within a reasonable timeframe.

If you have no horses of your own or in your care on the property we are pretty reasonable with days/nights away from the property, we just require proper notice (as long as it is when we are in town- we travel extensively).

We ask for no drama, no drugs. No drinking when working with horses or using farm equipment. No drinking and driving.

sorry-no children (living space can accommodate two adults only), no slackers.

If you are looking for a 12 hr per day day, 7 day a week job of hard work in and out of the saddle working cows and killing coyotes then this is not the job for you. If you have a good work ethic, are self motivated, can prioritize and self schedule then its not terribly hard work. If you see it needs to be done…. Do it.

This is a private contractor position, not employee.

What we DO NOT offer: health ins, workers comp,

a side of beef, summers off, a larger salary to take care of your own animals and start your own business, a party pad, handouts.

You may have the opportunity to purchase (for training and resale) a horse or two at a time for extra income if you like. Future prospect to run a training program may be possible in the future for the right candidates.
