Whether you’re on his back or on the ground, you’re sure to be safe around him. You can give him an extended period of time off and he will saddle up and ride off quiet, as if he never had a day off. Old Spice is fancy broke, he spins with ease, has a big sliding stop, and lopes around on a loose rein. He moves with style and class, and has a smooth comfortable stride that is second to none. We have used Old Spice on the ranch to sort and ship, doctor yearlings, and brand calves. He will watch a cow, and is very handy no matter the job. He has a great work ethic and a heart the size of Texas. We have roped on him in the arena as well. He is very quiet in the box, scores solid, runs hard, rates, and has a good move. We have yet to find something that this horse won’t do. He is always willing and will meet you at the gate each day ready to please.
