He is a 9 year old gelding, 15.1hh, and probably one of the smoothest horses I have ever ridden. His trot and lope are amazing! Lonestar has been boarded at my house for over a year now, and his owner no longer has the time for him so he is needing to find him a new home. The video was taken at a ranch that he had never been to, and it was only his second time being ridden in nearly a year. Lonestar has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, and is extremely sweet and kind. He rides quietly on a loose rein, never going any faster than you ask him to. He reins easily, knows his leads, and has an excellent stop and back up. Lonestar is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water, and isn’t spooky. He will go up, over or through anything you point him at. He understands when kids and beginners are on his back and does his best to take care of them. Lonestar is very easy to catch, even in a large pasture, he gets along with both mares and geldings, and he stands quietly tied. He is easy to load, haul and trim, and does great barefoot. He is stout and big boned, with a good size foot and no health or lameness issues. Lonestar can be ridden by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group.
