Description:
Maverick is a 6 year old, 13.2 hand, once in a life time ranch quarter pony gelding with the looks to get you noticed. He rides like a big horse and is built like one too. He has been ridden extensively by an 8 year old in the roping pen, on trail rides, cattle drives, parades through town, and even to Dollar General. He has also competed in ranch rodeos, team roping, ranch sorting, and has been started in barrels and poles. He is very handy and will go do a day’s work on the ranch with no problem. He will track the dummy all day long. He is quiet in the box. He is an excellent pony for a kid that’s ready to step up and feel like they are on a big horse, but our 5 year old beginner has also ridden him for many hours in the arena. He is very soft, neck reins nicely, and will adjust his speed to the rider and walk, trot, and lope when asked. He stands tied for farrier and baths, loads and unloads great.
