He is the perfect size and build, has the most unique, eye catching color, and the sweetest, puppy-dog like personality. 10 years old and stands 40” tall. He is built nice and thick, good bone and big foot. He is hardy as they come and will last your little cowboy or cowgirl as long as they want to ride. Trigger has been on many adventures with his little boy, they roam the countryside together, just like Roy Roger’s and his beloved Trigger, catchin’ the bad guys, saving the herd. Trigger is very accustomed to a B.B gun being fired over his head, at any given moment- as there are bad guys and bank robbers behind every bush, as well as wild game and dangerous animals that need to be taken down. Trigger has spent many hours cowboyin’ with his kids. He doesn’t know he’s only a little guy, because he participates in all the big horse activities- as well as roping the heelomatic roping dummy, herding cattle, checking fences, barrel racing and lots of trail riding! He is suited well for any level your child rides at. His current rider just turned 6, and he catches and halters Trigger, unassisted- tacks him up and rides him all on his own. Trigger is very patient with him, as he’s still learning and sometimes it takes awhile to get it all right. He stands well for grooming, the farrier, mounting up, etc. There isn’t a mean bone in Trigger’s body, he is truly heaven-sent. He will walk along quietly and contentedly at whatever pace your child asks. He will ease up into a trot obediently, and and also one step lope off right out of a walk like a big horse! We’ve taken him to local horse shows and roping practices, He has never paid any attention to the lights and music and commotion. He has been trail ridden extensively, traffic safe, he will cross logs, ditches, creeks and mud. He will go up and down steep hills and navigates all sorts of different terrain with ease. He’s even been through rough country, where there is no trail- and has had to pick his way, gingerly along, all the while taking the best care of whoever is on his back. He doesn’t mind dogs or other farm animals, he doesn’t mind loud kids climbing all over him! We’ve taken him to pony rides events, church benefit fun days, with hundreds of people milling all around him. He’s been smacked with balloons, listened to loud crying over giving the last pony ride, and has stood for hours just being loved on. I’ve never been around a pony that was this sweet with all children. He’s a saint! He is always the same pony, weather he’s been ridden every day, or once a month. We’ve truly enjoyed every moment with Trigger. He is one of those very rare, very hard to find, exceptional ponies that any child will adore, bond with and learn how to be a cowgirl or cowboy with.
