Description:
Popcorn is a 5 year old, gelding pony that is an absolute favorite here at Leger Farms. He is the perfect size and build, has the most unique, eye catching color, and has the brains and personality to go with it. He is super chunky built with a big foot and bone for a pony. Popcorn is a seasoned driving pony and can be driven by even small children. He’s been driven through town and even in parades. He is also an excellent mount for children from the most beginner to even those who are experienced. He can ride to whatever level the child rides at. Our little girl is 5 and she catches and halters him, tacks him up and rides him all on her own and he is very patient with her as she has been learning to do all of these things on her own. He will walk along as long as you ask him to, pick up and trot when asked and will even one step lope right out of a walk like a big horse! We’ve taken him to local horse shows and showed him in youth pleasure classes, costume classes and other fun things. He has never paid any attention to the lights and music and commotion. He has been trail ridden extensively and he is a wonderful trail pony. He will cross logs, ditches, creeks and mud. He will go up and down steep hills and navigates all sorts of different terrain with ease. We’ve taken him camping with us various places. Our little girl has ridden him on a cattle drive where her and Popcorn helped push 300+ head of cattle. He doesn’t mind tarps, whips or anything dragging behind him. We’ve used him at birthday parties where 30+ children have groomed, pet and ridden him. He stands to have his feet worked on, stands quiet when tied up and stands to be mounted. He is always the same every time we use him. We’ve truly enjoyed our time with Popcorn. He is definitely one of those exceptional ponies that any child would adore and parents would be able trust with their children. Check out our full video to see all of this and more!
