Dan is a head horse prospect that would make a nice ranch horse. He has spent 90 days in professional training on the head side with Cody Mora at Mora Performance Horses in San Miguel, CA. Dan still needs finishing though and someone looking to head off of him should be an experienced header. He gets squirrelly in the box after running a few, so that’s where more work and training will be needed by someone more experienced than me because he doesn’t do it with the trainer. :) He does a nice job of turning steers and shuts down to and from the catch pen. Dan has also been used to gather cattle and really takes to it! He’s nice to ride in the hills and is not buddy or barn sour. He has been easy to haul and hard to spook. If I could afford to keep him as a ranch or trail horse, I would but we have too many of those already. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions.
