Horses For Sale: Barrel Horse #156703 [ask seller a question] [report to admin] Posted by: Dnanderson4 [see other ads by this poster] Price: $6,500 City: Dannebrog [see other ads in this city] State: Nebraska [see other ads in this state] Breed: Pony Gender: Gelding Height: 14.2 Weight: 800 lbs Color: Gray Disciplines: Barrel Racing,Mounted Shooting,Pole Bending,Racing, Phone#: 402-984-5892 click to view fullsize image Description: Smokey is a 10 year old gelding. he is 14.2 hands. no papers. appaloosa. 100% sound. he’s utd in all shots and tests because i needed it to go to districts and state we have had him for about a year and i’m just not the rider for him. he can do amazing on barrels and poles with the right person. he has a lot of speed and potential. he needs to go to someone who can ride him a lot outside of the arena and is very patient with him. he stands for the farrier, baths, and being tied. he is eager to please. he listens very very well and is very responsive to verbal and leg cues. he knows any pattern you can think of. he is a very quick learner in patterns too. he isn’t fed anything fancy, just hay. he doesn’t buck, bite, or have any vices. he is nice to any horses and doesn’t cause problems. loads in any trailer. barefoot. very very loving horse with a lot of personality. i took him to state this year for barrels and poles so he has been to the vet recently. he needs a confident experienced rider who knows how to work with him. he gets a hot if you run him back to back. he has came such a long way since i have had him. everyone always tells me how he has game such a long way, he used to be very hot and skinny. he is just not what i want right now.
