Description:
Long time family ranch looking for an honest and dependable employee that can work alone or with a crew.

We are looking for a candidate with cattle handling skills to move, sort and doctor both in the feed yard and out. We promote low-stress cattle handling but acknowledge that low stress does not mean no pressure. There will be times where we will need to drive 1,000+ steers with a skeletal crew. Well behaved dogs are welcomed. In addition to the stocker program we raise and breed 900-1,000 head of replacement heifers. The person in this position would assist in developing those heifers to target weights for breeding, follow the AI protocol, and do rotational grazing on native and irrigated grass. Finally, because of the size of the operation each division relies on the other divisions for day help so this person could be called upon to help the Cow/calf Herd Managers (3) as needed with their day-to-day activities as well as processing days.



Other duties include:

•Building and tearing out of temporary fence

•Feeding cattle in the feedyard as a substitute for the full time feeder

•Supplementing cattle during the winter

•Fence and water maintenance
