The Sundown Ranch is in southeastern Arizona about 80 miles south of Tucson, and +/-20 miles southeast of Patagonia. It straddles the Santa Cruz/Cochise County line and is south of Parker Canyon Lake. The ranches southern boundary lies about one mile north of Mexico. Included with the ranch is a +/-2700 acre USFS grazing allotment. The elevations range from just under 5,100 feet to over 5,500 feet. The headquarters includes a vintage three bedroom, one bath ranch home constructed around 1932. The home has a living room with rock fireplace, kitchen, original stamped metal ceilings, wrap-around porch and is solar powered. Also at the Headquarters is a bunkhouse/workshop/tackroom; a mud adobe barn and excellent working corrals situated under large shade trees. The ranch is watered by four dirt tanks, one spring, three wells, and some seasonal seeps. The property has been in the sellers family for 60 years and has historically been operated as a commercial crossbred cow-calf ranch but would lend itself nicely to a purebred operation.
