We are now hiring for the position of Herd Sire Manager to oversee the bulls housed in our facility. The right candidate for this role will: • Appreciate working alongside an upbeat, friendly, service-oriented team who enjoy their jobs and are committed to making Western Sire Services the premier collector of genetics in the entire industry! • Properly feed individual bulls of all ages to an optimum body condition while monitoring the daily health and well-being of each bull. • Professionally and politely assist our customers with the loading and unloading of their bulls into our facility, which includes communicating bull and owner information to our office team. • Represent WSS at customer functions, such as bull sales, and other industry events. • Safely move bulls, via horse or ATV, to correct pen location, to the working chute, and to the collection barn as needed. • Assist with the weekly processing and veterinary testing of new bulls arriving to WSS. • Lead and assist a crew in the regular and timely upkeep of WSS facilities, ranging from lawn care to pen maintenance…including mowing, painting, cleaning pens, cleaning water tanks, hauling manure and repairs to the facility. • Safely operate, maintain and care for the loader tractor, skid steer, cattle trailer and all other equipment used at WSS.
