Description:
Steel is a Grey 2018 Percheron Cross Gelding. He is a stout 15.3hh and will likely grow a little more. He’s the epitome of a gentle giant and is suitable for an intermediate rider or a beginner in a program.

He has a solid foundation under saddle and has smooth, comfortable gaits. Has a great handle, can do simple lead changes, and is light on his feet. Goes English or Western and could be finished however you like, but we could see him excelling in cowboy/western dressage. He’s great at our busy boarding stable that’s crawling with kids, dogs, goats, cows, pigs, donkeys, etc. Easily a barn favorite with his easy going, in-your-pocket personality!

Steel is an easy keeper who ties, clips, bathes, trailers, stands for the farrier (goes barefoot), and is simply enjoyable to be around. Doesn’t care about tarps, crosses water, and will make a great trail horse after some more mileage. No vices and can be turned out with anybody. His original owners said he’d been in harness, but we haven’t driven him at all.
