Here’s some about us: Sarah: I grew up riding horses and have more experience with horses than i do cattle, but I’m learning every day and hope to continue learning until the day I die!! I am comfortable starting young horses, riding green horses, keeping horses exercised, etc. I’m not the best roper but practice a lot. I am very comfortable with general care of horses including doctoring. I’m not afraid of a hard days work and am willing to learn your operation and put my best foot forward for whatever it is you need me to do. I have worked at a couple guest ranches before and excel at customer service as well. Gabe: He grew up ranching and working at feed lots. He knows cattle VERY well, including calving and doctoring. He has great horsemanship as well. He can start young horses and ride green ones as well. He is soft with horses but can stick with one too. He’s a very proficient roper as well. He’s the type that’s handy to have around— he knows a bit about everything. Also not afraid of a hard days work. However, he’s not as much of a “people person”. We both shoe horses as well, can both drive manual, not afraid of the heat or the cold, and will do what it takes to get the job done. We’re looking for a place we can commit to because we LOVE this life. We’ve both worked at many different places and are now looking for a place to settle. Very family oriented and we’ll be loyal to you. Ideally, we’d like a place that provides housing within a couple hours of Sterling, CO (northeastern CO). I’m working a summer job currently so wouldn’t be able to start until this fall, so just putting feelers out right now and hoping that when the time comes we’ll have something lined up. We do have horses and dogs and would love to bring them along, whether we can work with them or not. We would definitely love the opportunity to keep our own horses rode as well, but don’t expect a fully horseback job.
