Hauled to countless arenas, ranched on, used in the mountains/packed, used for breakaway, doctored yearlings head and heel side, been to the branding pen, taken people with zero horse experience trail riding in the back country (in a halter), and packed out a mountain lion in a decker. You can ride him bareback with a rope around his neck or bit him up and go to work. For as gentle as he is, he can grab gears when you ask him to. He is not a barrel horse, but I’ve played with him on the pattern for fun and it surely wouldn’t take much. You can let him sit for any length of time and he will be the same horse when you get back on him. This horse is something a youth could easily enjoy on the ranch or take to town. He’s also the type of horse someone handy could go be competitive on in almost anything. Make him your barrel horse, let your husband take him to the team ropings, or put your kids on him. Heck put your non horsey boyfriend or girlfriend who just wants to sit on a horse look cool and drink beer at your jackpot on him. Just don’t let your friends who are handier than you ride him because this horse is a mirror of his rider and it will make you feel like an idiot. He is quiet and the same horse every single day. Incredibly smart, quick learner, and handles whatever you throw at him. Fancy broke but you can also throw your reins down and enjoy the ride. Easy to catch, super kind, throw the rope over his neck and he hops in the trailer, hauls great, eats and drinks well on the road, very easy to shoe. Easy going guy in a herd setting. Not a bronc, stands tied all day, not going to kick you or take off with you. Not spooky. I’ve done countless stupid things on this horse and he has ALWAYS taken care of me. I’ve sunk him in a bog, gone down on icy mountain slopes, and had my bridle break while tied off on the heel side of a yearling and he’s never put me in a bad spot. He’s got more stories and traveled more than most people. You likely will not win the world on this horse, but he will give you the world. He will never quit you and will work as hard as you need him to or slow down as much as you want. If he has ONE vice it is that he does not like needles - and he’s far from dangerous just a pain about it. He’s big, pretty, and one cool dude. He turns heads every where he goes with his thick tail, double mane, and big wild eye. Not to mention he’s bred incredibly well.
