Internship opportunity learning horsemanship with Bill Barnes at Stoney Creek Ranch.



Bill has 26 years experience of horsemanship being taught by Buck Brannaman. He also spent 16 years ranching in the sandhills of Nebraska and has owned and managed a cow/calf operation in Georgia for the past 22. Bill enjoys helping others by passing on knowledge he has gained through many years of dedicated work.



The internship is to teach the principles of a working horse ranch and cow/calf operation including ranch roping and doctoring cattle with an emphasis on true classical horsemanship. If you’ve ever wanted a job on a big ranch as a top hand with all the skills, but you don’t have the skills, here’s the chance to gain the experience to get the job you’ve always wanted.



Housing is provided, you’re allowed to bring one personal horse. You will be paid a small monthly stipend to cover groceries etc… Duties on the ranch will involve working under the direction of our ranch manager doing anything from operating equipment, to maintaining fences, to caring for livestock. You’ll have the opportunity to be horseback every day.







This is a three month commitment with the possibility of staying longer. We do not have housing for female interns currently.
