Description:
"Black" is not a creative name, but he is truly a special horse, and we consider ourselves lucky to have owned him the last few years.



At 16 hands and 1,200 pounds, this five year old freisan cross gelding is just in the beginning of his prime years.



This kind hearted gelding does it all in a friendly, laid back kind of way. He’s a mountain horse through and through, but also excels under western and English tack in the arena. Walk, trot, or lope, he’s extremely smooth and great at picking up the correct lead.



Black meets us at the gate, will quietly stand tied all day, is great to trailer, works gates, moves cows, is good around a variety of livestock, strong and surefooted on the trail, and happily sidles up to whatever is available for an easy on and off.



With his rock hard black feet and quiet demeanor, the farrier calls him "the stuff dreams are made of".



At just 5 years old, and sound as can be, Black is ready to excel in his next career. And whether it’s Western, English, or bareback, this special gelding turns heads wherever he goes.



He’s just been a lot of fun for us to own. He’s safe to be around, and the one that we put beginners on. Sound and current on vaccinations, farrier, worming, and recently had teeth floated.
