Description:
2017 AQHA Bay Roan gelding, 14.3 1100lbs "Goose" is a keen headed, soft eyed fellow with a big personality and has a ground covering walk. He is pretty enough to go to town on Friday night yet can move cattle in the mud on Saturday morning but can easily take a quiet trail ride on Sunday afternoon and have plenty of patience for working colts in the round pen on Monday!



We bought "Goose" as a yearling from a breeder in Oklahoma who keeps tabs on him regularly. He has been a part of our daily lives for the past 4 years. My wife and I started him the summer of 2019 and he has been ridden and hauled extensively ever since. As a youngster, his primary job for us was trail riding, which he will ride in the front, middle or in the back. Then as he grew mentally and physically, we started adding more tasks and chores and exposing him to any and everything possible. Whatever your plans are for him that day, he is willing and eager to please. Just an excellent individual that will grow on you the more you’re around him.



We have trail rode this gelding all over Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kentucky. Overnight trips and even weekly trips are common for him. We’ve done some minor obstacle courses, he pulls strong from the horn, he has an excellent work ethic, you can throw a rope off him, has a nice stop and good back up. He moves off leg pressure well, which makes him easy to move into positions you need to be in without arguing; opening gates to picking up grandkids off the fence to pushing cattle in the pens without stirring them up.



This guy is a farrier’s dream. He’s well behaved, plenty of hoof wall on a strong black foot. He is safe, sane and sound. He has no vices, loads, clips, bathes. The same horse day in and day out that will meet you at the gate and also loves people. We have enjoyed this young gelding and are proud to offer him on HorseBid.com.
