Description:
Drifter is a 2009 grade quarter horse bay gelding. He has spent the majority of his life on the historic Flitner Ranch in Shell Wyoming. He is HIP # 1 consigned to the PITCHFORK HORSE SALE May 29th, 2022.

He is 14.3 hands tall, weighs 1100 lbs., and wears a size 0 shoe. He is good to shoe, tie, load and is one our cowboys really enjoy! This gelding is cowy, smart and wants to please. Drifter has a big long trot that can go all day and is a pleasure to ride. He has been used for every aspect of ranch work from branding, doctoring cattle, sorting, pushing cows up the mountain, etc. This little gelding has some speed too. Use him on the ranch during the day and go let the kids team pen on him at night. Turn the kids loose on him, he’s fun for the whole family! You’ll have a hard time finding a horse as tough and reliable as Drifter. He is our "go-to" horse to take beginner riders out to go move cows but has a motor when you need one. Drifter was raised by some friends of ours and they put a lot of time into breeding this horse but when it came time to register him, life happened. Although he is not registered his pedigree is purple. We did not register him because he was a gelding. He’s seen our whole ranch now he’s ready to be enjoyed and used by a loving home!
