Description:
Long-time family ranching operation located in Idaho County, between Salmon and Snake River, looking for cowboy/ranch hand or couple capable of handling cattle, horses, and dogs in steep/timbered country. Own horses and dogs required with vehicle, ranch will provide fuel. Year-round housing available, but expected to stay and work from seasonal cow camp cabin approximately 6 months (June-Nov.) Cabin has running water, wood stove, propane lights and refrigerator. Semi-remote location with very limited to no cell phone service. Cattle run on deeded ground and sizeable Forest Service grazing allotment. Duties also include fence repair, trail cutting, packing salt, calving, wintertime feeding. NO farming, haying or irrigating. Seeking hard-working employee dedicated to running an efficient cow/calf operation long-term. Competitive salary and benefit package to right candidate based on experience and job performance.
