This horse has gone above and beyond while with us and has quickly become a favorite in the roping pen. Gunner will have four months on the head side with Justin Parrish. In that short amount of time, Gunner has taken to it like a duck to water. The first roping he was hauled to was the 12.5 at park your pony where he won it. He is solid as can be in the box, leaves hard and flat, and will not get out run down the pen. He‘ll best suit someone looking for a horse to haul from the 9s to the 16s. Youth have roped on him but all have been proficient riders/ropers. He’s ready to hit all the jackpots and make someone a lot of money. Previously to us owning him, Gunner was futuritied in his younger years and hauled on the barrel pattern where he had much success apparently. The video available is his first time to see the barrel pattern in over a year. We were not given previous stats but it’s clear to see this horse would be highly competitive in the open north Texas races with a tune up. Gunner is a very level headed and kind gelding that is extremely easy to get along with both on the ground and while in the saddle. He is gentle, not a hot head, rides great outside, soft in his body, and is one handed broke. Gunner has a slow lope that’s to die for but make no mistake he is a powerhouse when asked. For roping or barrels, you do need to be use to a strong fast horse as he won’t be for a beginner rider in that aspect. Gunner is completely sound in every way. PPEs are always welcome.
