Description:
Leo is a BIG pretty bay that can go all day. He’s just under 16 hands and weighs 1300+. He’s been used in every aspect of a large cow/calf operation including doctoring cattle outside, gathering pastures, sorting pairs, dragging cows/bulls/calves into the trailer and dragging calves at branding. My husband has roped a few head on him tied off and he’s even worked rope. However, I’ve been the one to ride him the other 99% of the time. Leo can run and is extremely strong to the horn. He is very honest and can be laid off for long periods of time without getting fresh or being cold backed. Leo is smart and wants to please but he does cribb. I bought Leo as a head horse knowing he had box issues. Scoring lots of cattle and working with him at home for a couple years improved it drastically but it still shows up at ropings. I’m selling Leo as a ranch horse. He’s golden in the arena and pasture but not in the head box.
