Pine Ridge Ranch is a 1400 acre ranch in the Ponderosa Pines and Oak Brush within minutes of the town of Bayfield near Durango CO. We have horses and mules. Therefore, we would like both individuals to have a solid knowledge of horses. We hay our pastures and we also have around 30 steers that need to be managed. Also some other farm animals raised for food. The property contains a main house, guest house, caretaker house, horse barn and two shops for equipment. All of these buildings, roads and livestock need to be maintained daily and the work depends on the season. The ranch manager must be proficient in the use of all of the ranch equipment. Ranch chores will change depending on the season. The pastures need to be managed for hay production. Horse care includes feeding, mucking stalls, changing blankets, grooming and handling for the farrier. Our personal residence needs to be cleaned two days a week on Monday and Thursday. There are lots of landscaping duties that will vary depending on the season. The caretaker couple will be housed in a beautiful 4 bedroom/ 2 bathroom house on the property and will be paid $4,000/month + housing. However, we do not pay for utilities. Knowledge of horses is important, but we are NOT looking for a horse trainer. Please provide resumes and references.
