He is the kind that everyone is searching for but can hardly find. Teddy is gentle for anyone to ride, and stays that way even if not ridden regularly. He can go for weeks without being ridden, then just hop on him and ride off without worrying that he is going to do something silly. He has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, has excellent ground manners, is extremely friendly and good minded, and absolutely nothing spooks him or bothers him. Teddy is 11 years old and 14.3 hh, stout enough to carry a man but low to the ground and easy for the kiddos to handle. He has plenty of chrome with his 4 white socks and blaze. He sells as GRADE. He has been used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, dragging calves to the fire, and checking fence. Teddy would be an excellent horse for a weekend rancher that wanted something safe to check cattle with, or even the grandkids to ride out on the ranch with grandpa and learn how to rope and work cattle. He will only go as fast as his rider asks him to and is definitely a push style horse. Teddy is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. We have carried a flag on him and he would be perfect for carrying the flag in grand entries or even in parades. With his quiet disposition you can do anything with him. Teddy has a good handle and stop, will sidepass, and work a gate. When he sees you coming he walks right up to the gate and sticks his head in the halter, begging for attention. He can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. Teddy has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it.
