Description:
Ian is a really cool 13.3H Haflinger gelding that is extremely gentle, safe and kind. He has that awesome haffie disposition and is quiet enough to put your kids or your grandma on. He is really broke and is soft in the face, carries his head level, neck reins, pivots, side passes, picks up his leads, lopes and stops great. He goes on a loose rein and jogs and lopes super smooth. He is super easy to ride and a joy every time you step on him. He’s great to use on the ranch for all tasks needed including gathering, penning, dragging calves to the fire, driving cattle up the allies, loading trucks and ponying colts. He’s perfect to go prowl pastures looking for strays or to check fence lines. We’ve started tracking and roping the sled and live cattle. He’ll track right in behind one and shows a lot of interest. He could make a really cool rope horse finished out. He’s really fun to take on trail rides. He’ll go anywhere through brush, across water, up and down steep hills, over logs and bridges and down the road. He’ll ride out alone just as good as he will with a group.

Another cool thing is Ian is a very accomplished driving pony. While he drives as a team he will also drive single just as good. He has been used to pull a feed wagon. He was used in the forest by a logger to pull large trees up to where they were loaded into semi’s. He’s pulled a small wagon on trail rides, in parades and for fun rides on the ranch.

If you want a fancy out of the ordinary gelding that is broke to death, super safe, gorgeous and has athletic ability then here he is. Ian has absolutely no bad habits or vices. He stands for the farrier, ties, bathes, loads and hauls with ease. Ian does have a big spot in his right eye but he does have vision and it doesn’t effect his performance or his ability to do things.
