I’ll start by saying that this mare is absolutely safe and gentle for ANYONE that can get on a horse and hold the reins - whether they’re 6 years old or 60 years old, you will not find a nicer horse anywhere you look. She has been in the absolute best of hands since day one - from born and raised on the legendary Pitchfork Ranch in Guthrie, Texas all the way to being started by not only some of the best trainers in the industry but being trained and ridden by several different NFR Qualifiers. "Echo" is a soggy, shapey made mare that has been trained on the heel side, started in the breakaway and used extensively for ALL outside ranch chores but is still quiet and safe enough to put anyone on no matter where you are or what commotion is going on around you. She rides the same bareback in a halter as she does under saddle, she’s extremely adaptable and pays attention to the experience level of whoever is on her back - adjusting accordingly. "Echo" will ride out alone quietly and confidently on a loose rein or is equally as good in a group and will ride away from the herd when asked. She crosses water, is good and surefooted in the rocks, steps over logs, rides right through thick brush, and goes up/down hills or embankments with ease. In addition to that she’s just as quiet in town - not bothered or startled by cars, trucks, pedestrians, barking dogs, etc. "Echo" is always the same horse no matter where you are or what you are doing and more importantly - she stays gentle whether you ride her everyday or once a month. No buck, rear, etc. with this one you can just cinch her up, step on and go without having to worry! "Echo" has great ground manners - easy to catch, load, haul, bathe, groom, pick feet, saddle, bridle, and dead quiet for mount and dismount. She’s not "mare-ish" at all and gets along turned out with other horses, honestly she acts like an old gelding.
