Description:
Mid-sized, family-owned stocker/cow-calf/sheep operation seeking an experienced foreman to work in all aspects of the cattle program – including health, inventory, and range/pasture improvements. We operate on a combination of public and private rangeland and irrigated pasture near a large urban area.



Things we value:

-Excellent communication skills. This is a hands-on, fast-paced job requiring frequent collaboration. We also have a lot of interaction with the public and landowners.

-Dependability & work ethic. We work some long days and in all weather.

-Flexibility & willingness to work in all aspects of the business. Primary focus will be on cattle but there will be some equipment operating, maintenance, and occasional irrigating or helping with the sheep.

-A good eye for cattle and the ability to spot and doctor sickness quickly and quietly.

-Competence with a horse and a rope. We run in some steep country.

-A calm demeanor with cattle. We are GAP certified and constantly strive to improve our handling and facilities.

-A mind for the big picture and a desire to improve the land.



House or housing stipend provided.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Growth potential for the right person.
