He is beautifully built, 15.1 hh and close to 1300 pounds, with a big hip, wide chest, a ton of bone and a big foot. Piute is 17 years old but that isn’t hurting him a bit, he is sound, in good flesh, and has a good work ethic. He came off of a ranch in West Texas where he was used for all phases of ranch work including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, and checking fence. Piute rides quietly on a loose rein and enjoys having a job and something to do, rather than just standing around being ridden occasionally. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. Piute has a good one handed neck rein, a really nice stop, and is good on both leads. He will sidepass and work a gate. Piute can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $4000. Piute has good ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and shoe.
