This guy is honestly one of the coolest ponies we’ve ever had in. He’s the perfect all in one package for a junior rodeo pony or is one a young beginner can grow with for years to come. Beginners to experienced riders both young and old can enjoy and get along with him with ease. He’s a push style ride, only goes as fast as asked and rides on a loose rein. He picks up both leads, moves off your leg easily, neck reins like a champ, and has a great, easy stop so the kiddos will never have to use full force to get him stopped even at a faster gait. Butter knows all playday patterns and will happily trot/lope through them depending on what you ask of him. He was taken to one this Saturday and placed in the top 3 in all six events (with rider errors) in the adult class so he does have the speed to be competitive for a more advanced rider. He’s roped both ends with kids as well as adults and has dabbled in breakaway roping as well as goat tying. Butter leaves flat from the box, scores like a rock, and does not have any alley issues. He has also been in parades and isn’t the spooky type by any means. Great to ride outside or in the arena and has never gotten hot headed even after running events all day or nervous in new places. Ground ties anywhere and even rides bridleless. You can ride him alone or in a group without any issues and is not barn or buddy sour. Easy as can be to be around on the ground and you can crawl all around him without him ever moving. Stands like a statue for saddling, bridling, and grooming as well. No soundness issues of any kind. PPEs are always welcome at the buyers expense. If you’re looking for one of those rare, old soul types that still has a lot of life to give, Butter is your guy.
