He is as big and stout as a brickhouse. There is not a job too big or too small for this handsome guy. "Chili" is gentle and easy going as one can get. He has spent most life doing all the ins and outs of ranch work. This is a been there done that type horse. He knows what a hard days work is, and has spent the time it takes to make a good horse. Chili is broke, and handy broke at that. This horse will not get you or anyone in a bind. He is very responsive, has a solid neck rein, listens to leg cues, immediate stop, back, face, whatever it is you are asking for he will deliver and it will be correct. With all that said Chili is very simple to ride for someone who doesn’t know all the buttons. He listens to what his rider is asking him to do without any hassle and frustration. Chili has been the go-to horse on the ranch for years! He has done many brandings, roping and dragging calves to the fire. He is big and thick enough that he has been used for roping big bulls, with no issues. On top of that he has been used to push cattle and doctor on outside. He has even tracked and scored steers out of the box (this does not mean he will be a finished head horse). This horse is the type of horse that given a job, he will do it and will do it easily. However, Chili isn’t all work! He loves just putting his head down and enjoying a nice trail ride. It doesn’t matter if its the treacherous rocky hills, with deep water, fallen limbs, or nice steady stroll through town. This gelding is traffic safe as well! This gorgeous guy is ideal for the family setting. There is no buck, bite, rear, bolt, or even stubbornness of not wanting to go. Chili is gentle enough for the littles to be around. You can crawl under/ around/ pull his tail, leave tied for hours on end, bathe, load, unload, absolutely all of the above with ease and no worries. But Chili is also big and stout enough for someone to get some work done. Chili is every bit of 1200 pounds and it built to last! This unbelievably handsome gelding stands still to mount and dismount, saddle and unsaddle, very easy to bridle or he can be rode around in a halter. He is good with his feet stands great for the farrier, he currently has front shoes (not necessary). He is also utd on all vaccines and worming.
