Description:
Adams Land & Cattle, LLC (ALCC) is a progressive, family owned cattle feeding business, located in Broken Bow, Nebraska. ALCC began in 1945 as a small dairy farm on 300 acres east of Broken Bow. Today, ALCC remains family-owned, but has grown into a multi-location operation with finishing lots in Nebraska and more than 100 backgrounding locations throughout the US and Canada.



This person is responsible for:

- Working and driving safely on-/off-road and in the feedlot environments by following all company and other applicable safety guidelines.

- Operating assigned equipment (i.e. truck and various types of trailers, loader) in a safe and efficient manner.

- Loading, transporting, and unloading manure, silage, flaked corn, and non-routine materials to intended destinations.

- Ensuring contents are properly secured to prevent damage, injury, and/or spillage.

- Inspecting equipment for mechanical and safety issues and performing routine preventative maintenance on equipment.

- Observing and reporting equipment or mechanical failures immediately.

- Planning transportation routes and meeting delivery transportation schedules.

- Maintaining detailed delivery logs.

- Seeking ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business.

- Assisting in additional projects as needed.



Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

- Mechanical interest and aptitude is preferred.

- Working knowledge of diesel equipment.

- Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.

- Driven, organized, action-oriented, analytical, and ability to multi-task.

- High attention to detail.

- Comfortable working independently.

- Commitment to safety and quality culture.



This position requires:

- Valid Driver’s License with CDL.

- Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.

- Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally; 25-50 pounds of force frequently; 10-20 pounds of force constantly. Standing, sitting, walking, carrying, and lifting/lowering frequently; pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, reaching/handling/grasping, and kneeling/crouching occasionally; stairs rarely.
