She is gentle, extremely broke and fun to ride, and can do a little bit of everything. Piper is 8 years old and 15.1 hh with a huge hip, pretty head and neck with a kind eye, and a good sized foot. She is AQHA registered with reining bloodlines but we were not given any papers when we bought her so she sells as GRADE. Piper is fancy broke with an excellent handle, a very smooth trot and rocking horse lope, and a really nice stop. She has had a lot of training and is gentle for just about anyone to ride. My 4 year old son can lead her and ride her all by himself in the round pen and she takes very good care of him. Piper is the same horse every time you ride her, and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, even if not ridden regularly. She is so light that she rides just as good in a halter bareback as she does with a saddle and bridle. Piper is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. She will sidepass, work a gate, move off your leg, and bend and flex. She has had both cutting and reining training in the past and has been used on the ranch as well. Piper rides quietly on a loose rein, and is laid back but very responsive to her rider. She will walk quietly all day long if you prefer, but will easily step into a trot or lope when asked. She can pick up a lope from a stop, walk or a trot, and is very consistent on her leads. Piper is an excellent trail horse and ranch horse but has the mind and athletic ability to do anything you ask her to do. Team sorting, competitive trail, Ranch Versatility, she could do it all if you just show her how. We have carried a flag on her and feel like she would do well in parades and grand entries, or even drill team. Piper can be ridden out by herself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. She has been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it.
