He’s a great size standing 14.3 and is big boned with a good foot under him. He has a lot of frame, is square made and stout enough to carry a larger rider. He’s a very cool looking horse that catches everyone’s eye. He came from a big ranch in Montana along with some other geldings and he is a solid go do anything ranch horse. The previous owners sold the ranch due to life changes and retiring and they shipped all the horses down for us to use and sell. He was used in the cow calf part of the operation by the grandpa as one of his main mounts. He’s been used to rope and doctor and to drag calves to the fire. The ranch foreman used him to pony colts and broncs and he can tolerate them climbing all over him and never gets silly over it. The grandma rode him to help gather. She would take off on him and look for strays. She also checked all the windmills on him. On the dude part of their ranch he’s been used as a lead horse for guided trail rides. He’s also been used as a novice guest horse when they needed an extra. He was ridden by all their grandkids when they visited the ranch. He’s adaptable to any rider. He’s great to ride in the mountains and goes wherever you point him. He’ll go through rugged terrain, water, up and down the mountains effortlessly and over the bridges. Before the ranch owners bought him he was also used as a search and rescue horse in the mountains. Also for mounted patrol and was great doing crowd control. He’s comfortable riding in the arena. He will walk, trot, lope circles with ease. He carries his head nice, neck reins, picks up his leads, opens and closes gates and has a good stop. We’ve used him to push the roping steers up the alleys while we’re roping. We have novice guests come out that will track the dummy and live cattle around the arena for fun on him.  Andy is a great weekend trail horse if you go to the big organized rides. The grandma rode with a trail riding group and hauled him several places on big rides. He’s been ridden all over Montana and hauled to Palo Duro Canyon, Colorado, New Mexico and to Dinosaur Valley Park. He’s just as comfortable in a large group as he is alone. He’s been ridden around tractors, heavy machinery, wagons, motorcycles, mules, bicycles and dogs and takes it all in stride.  If you want a great sized gelding that’s the ultimate package look no further because Andy is here waiting on you. He’s absolutely the sweetest horse you could ask for. You can walk up and catch him anywhere. He isn’t mean or aggressive turned out with other horses. He has no bad habits or vices.
