Goldie is an 8 year old golden palomino gelding with a white mane and tail, a good hip and four black feet. He is 15 hh and sells as GRADE, with no papers and no idea how he is bred. Goldie came off of a ranch out in North Texas, where he was used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, and checking fence. He is strong to the horn and will really pull. Goldie is nicely broke with a good handle and stop and will work a gate. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He rides quietly on a loose rein and has been taught how to travel out and cover some ground. Goldie is a good ranch horse but would also make a nice heel horse or even a drill team horse or trail horse. He is always extremely gentle on the ground but will get fresh if not ridden regularly so he needs to go somewhere where he will have a job. He is not an outlaw just needs to be warmed up if he is fresh. Goldie can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, will happily lead or follow, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $4500. Goldie has excellent ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and shoe.
