We are a 3rd generation ranch producing highly maternal, forage efficient, moderate size cattle with excellent longevity. While most of the industry is focused on growth, we believe the most important economic traits for commercial cattlemen are fertility and longevity. Diamond D Angus was an early proponent of forage developed bulls and awarded the 2019 GrassFed Exchange Seedstock Producer of the Year. Our genetics are in use across the USA, Canada and South America. Activities include: Electric fence and stock water construction Grazing management - high density grazing with daily moves and portable electric fence Cattle management - assist at calving with identification and recordkeeping; routine preventative care; artificial breeding; operate hay feeding equipment; semen test bulls; low stress livestock handling Haymaking Irrigation Maintenance - fences, buildings, equipment, grounds and landscaping Other duties as required An ideal candidate will demonstrate: Positive, self motivated attitude Keen interest in regenerative agriculture Willingness to learn and try new things Livestock experience Machinery operation experience Ability to perform physical labor in all weather conditions Some experience in all of the above preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
