Description:
I have a 3yr old male border collie he’s registered. I raised this dog from a pup and started him. He has been used on everything from weanlings calves to pairs has alot of bite prefers a heel bit will hit a head if he needs to and when he does they are left with a bloody nose. We mainly back ground calves and just run a few cows and calves so he’s been mostly used on calves from 450-1000 pounds. He will gather a pasture if he can see the cattle haven’t worked with him on blind out runs. Has done alot of coral work will load the alley and push em up the alley also load a trailer mainly by himself. Handles very well. I do use a shock collar on him when I use him on smaller calves because he will get pretty pushy and want to keep biting and I just don’t like that. I’m not by any means saying take this dog and try to gather pairs with him by himself he will try but I don’t know If he will get it done, I don’t use dogs like that but if you give him a little help you together can really get alot done. Don’t have to sell him but I’ve got 2 sitting in the kennel that I need to start and an older female that is my main dog so he doesn’t get used enough mainly because he has so much bite and I work mainly calves and don’t need that much dog. Loves everybody kids included. When I take him I drop the tailgate and say load up he will stay in bed of truck until you tell him that’ll do. I never tie my dogs in take em to town go in eat lunch and they’ll be waiting in the back when you get done.
