Seeking:

Enthusiastic horseman / woman, dedicated and passionate individual to join our team.



The ranch hand position is responsible for the care and general wellbeing of all horses. Must have:

• a positive attitude and a passion for horses

• knowledgeable about the care and management of horse’s

• experience in handling and riding horses

• good people skills to interact with our customers

• self–motivated and physically capable of riding multiple hours per day in all, weather condition

• valid driver’s license and own transportation to and from work

• experience in hauling 5+ horse trailer and or use of farm equipment

• Able to lift 50+ lbs.



Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Daily Chores ¬– cleaning stalls, feeding, turnouts, help with vet/ farrier as needed etc.

• Leading rides for guests on and off the ranch in a positive and safe manner

• Provide pre – riding instructions for customers, and general horsemanship lessons

• Ranch facility management

• Property maintenance, i.e. upkeep of the barn and grounds



*This is not a live-in position.

The Salary is based on experience.



Galisteo Creek Stables is starting its business beginning of 2020. Which means that the workload will grow with time and also the focus of work might change with time.
