He is a cute 10 year old red roan gelding, 14.3 and nicely built, not too high off the ground but stout enough to carry a big man. He is GRADE. He is nicely broke, with a smooth stride, excellent stop, and good neck rein. Peanut has spent the majority of his life on a ranch out in West Texas, where he was used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, and checking fence. He has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick, or take off. Peanut is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He rides quietly on a loose rein, content to walk all day long if you prefer but will easily step into a trot or lope if asked. Peanut is an excellent ranch horse but with his quiet personality would make an excellent pleasure horse. He has a nice smooth jog that you could sit to all day long, is good on both leads, and will work a gate. Peanut can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, will happily lead or follow, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $5500. Peanut has good ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and shoe.
