He is about as fancy as they come, stout, beautifully marked and with a sweet, friendly disposition to match. Chunk is 15 hh and around 1200 pounds, stout with a ton of bone and a cute head with a kind eye. He is 12 years old and APHA registered as “Cisco Kid Jessie J”, #902,616. Check out his complete pedigree at: https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/cisco+kid+jessie+j Chunk grew up on a ranch in South Texas and was used on the ranch for all phases of ranch work, including roping and gathering cattle in the pasture, sorting pairs, and tagging and doctoring calves. He has been hauled all over Texas to different ranches and state parks for overnight and weeklong rides, and has even carried the flag in parades and grand entries. Chunk is not spooked or scared of anything, and loves people and attention. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and will go up, over or through anything you point him at. He travels out nicely with a big stride, and can go all day long of you want him to. Chunk will ride quietly on a loose rein, will walk all day long if you prefer, but will easily step into a trot or lope if asked. He has plenty of speed if you ask him for it and is controllable and easy to stop. Chunk rides just as good bareback with a halter as he does with a saddle or bridle, and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off. He has a smooth trot and rocking horse lope, is good on both leads, has an excellent one handed neck rein and will sidepass and work a gate. Chunk can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, will happily lead or follow, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group.
