Description:
Outstanding pair of spurs made by the late Jerry Cates. The buckles are marked CATES and the spurs are marked CATES 1095. I believe that they are from the earlier 1980’s. They were made for the late Dwight Huber of Amarillo. Mr. Dwight was life long collector and was one of the co-owners of the big western collector’s show in Amarillo for around 3 decades. This pair is unworn. Mr. Jerry wrapped the copper and silver all around the legs. Big Bend Saddlery leathers. This is a very special pair of Jerry Cates spurs.
