Description:
Tuff is a 5 yr old sorrel ranch gelding that is 15 hands , 1125 lbs, black footed, thick made with a big hip and frontend. He never rides fresh even with a lot of time off. He rides quiet and low headed always. Lots of cowboy manners. Easy to shoe, vaccinate and worm. Tuff has been used in the roughest rocky country. Currently being used on the Broseco ranch by a good hand doctoring yearlings, sorting cattle in the pens and outside and loading trucks. Stout by the saddle horn, drags a big yearling in the trailer easily. Good to doctor on. Drags calves nice. He is my go to gelding for any wild bovine that needs catching , he takes it in stride. He hasn’t had any fancy training, didn’t come off a well known ranch in west Texas but , he has just had a hard job since he was 3. Will not quit on you, he just tries to please you. He has never been a problem for us of any kind. If you need a good tuff ranch horse here he is. Most anyone can get along with Tuff, just tighten your cinch and trot him rite off with no worries. He is haired up for the winter. We don’t put them in a stall with a blanket on them, they are turned out with our other ranch horses when not being used.
