I purchased him to be used on the ranch to move horses around but he came much larger than advertised and is too big for me (I’m short). While he does pretty well on the ranch I think he’d be best suited working in an arena. He’s been used as a high school rodeo horse in the past. He’s definitely rope broke. Could make a great team roping horse, breakaway horse, pick up horse, etc. Or even ranch horse for some one who has the time to put into him. He loves to work and is great heading out, but when the work is through and he turns for home he gets quite forward. He has NEVER bolted or even tried to, but he POWER walks on the way home. Sometimes tries to jig but that can be corrected easily. He walks, trots, and lopes away from home perfectly fine, doesn’t try to turn for home while going out. If he were smaller and I had more time I’d definitely keep him and work with him because he’s a super sweet horse, but I just don’t have the time and he’s a big guy. He’s never offered to buck. However, he’s not for a beginner as he’s sensitive and forward. His ground manners are impeccable. He will stand tied as long as you need him. Very sweet personality. Can fit in any herd, very much bottom of the totem pole. Healthy, sound, and barefoot. Very easy keeper and super hardy. Dewormed recently, vaccinations due in the spring, teeth done on 11/14.
